Searching for Love

Love sets my heart ablaze with delight
Love without return seems an endless night
Is there someone with whom love I could share?
Is there an end to my path of despair?

Lovers apart sing the saddest refrain
But the solace they share saves them from pain.
A lover who's lost is a hollow vessel
Who can only dream to one day be filled from the well.

I dream of you in thoughts shrouded in mist,
That we might awaken to life with a kiss.
Perhaps my dreams are too pure to be?
Perhaps I will find you're already with me?
